Very anxious

So I went for a smear test recently and the results came back that I have HPV and borderline abnormal cell changes and have now been referred to have a colposcopy within the next 14 days. This is only my 2nd smear and its really freaked me out I'm getting myself so worked up over it!!!. I'm getting married on Saturday and all I can think of is all this worry in the back of my mind 😔

Awe Bella-Boo it will be ok. My daughter's best friend went through this three years ago. She went for colposcopy and had the bad cells burned off and that was that. Fast forward three years and she is due with a baby in July. I have had hpv but mine was due to my reconstructive surgery so antibiotics cleared me up. Good luck I'm thinking of you. I had HPV show up on one of my smears and then never show up again. Apparently that can happen. And I’ve had friends that went through the colposcopy and had kids later etc. No more abnormal cells. You’re going to be ok, I would be anxious too but this is really common and treatable.

Thank you for your reply, I think just waiting for an appointment is making me more anxious at the moment as it's all I can think of in the meantime, but having spoke to people like yourself on here it's made me feel so much better 💞 xx
