Feeling very anxious this evening.

My anxiety is giving me hell tonight! I have a hospital appointment tomorrow with my consultant regarding my digestive issues and for some reason it's working me right up. I'm having upper jaw pain, shortness of breath and feeling very uneasy. I'm not entirely sure why it' bothering me so much, I guess I'm scared of the possible out comes, potential operation to remove Gallstones, them finding something else. I have waited a long time for this appointment and rather than being happy that maybe it could resolve my issues, my mind is spinning thinking all sorts of terrible things. 😔

Hi Keb38, it does sound like anxiety, which I absolutely normal when we are waiting to understand what happens next. Its the worry of the unknown & its this that sets off our minds into worry mode. Please try to stay calm, easier said than done, I know. But at least tomorrow you will have the long awaited for answers. You will then have options and or care plan. (I'm just using a big umbrella term as I don't know what the outcomes could be)) I have had my gallbladder removed under keyhole surgery procedure & honestly it all went very well. I remember the pain I had when I was waiting for my operation and Lord was I grateful when it had gone !! Try some relaxation techniques, deep breaths, hot bubble bath & a hot milky drink before bed will definitely help. Most of all please try not to worry. At least you will know tomorrow turn it into a positive - no more waiting to find out. Please let us know how you get on. You are in my prayers.

take care. Sending hugs.

Maybe not milky drink... that will hurt like heck if your gallbladder is the problem 😕

I know easier said than done but try to stay calm and relax down X try and think that it could all be positive what happens tomorrow X stress and Anxiety can cause all sorts of digestive problems so it may just be that X good luck X

Thank you for your replys. I have seen my consultant today and they are going to remove my Gall bladder in a few weeks. Now I feel very anxious about the surgery! It's a vicious circle. 😏

Hi there, I'm glad you have finally got some results & the plan for the gallbladder removal, it really I a straightforward operation. I had mine done via key hole & I was back him after 3 days. It could be less but they have to make sure you are fully functioning with regards to your bowel movements and your bladder functions. I promise it is as simple as that. Your consultant will go through all the formalities with you prior to your operation. I know when Id had my op done it was such a relief to be out of the vicious pain, I recall I was on a high dose of morphine for my pain, ive gone all shivery just thinking about it. When you get your anxiety just think it will be all done with in a few weeks time, turn it into a positive hun not long until you will be pain free.

take care

Thank you Louielou.

Could I just ask if you felt any pain in your left side while you had Gall stones? I know the pain is mostly common in the right hand side but most of my pain is in my left, under my ribs towards my waist and moves into my back. I'm worried it could be my pancreas. I am nervous about the surgery but it will be a relief to feel better. :-)

Take care. x

I am exactly the same I get pain in my jaw and other areas, feeling very weird, shortness of breath and weird tingly feeling that goes through my body :( Then I start to panic because if the feeling that goes through my body it's terrible. Good luck tomorrow but try and relax. I listen to some calming music for anxiety and sleep and lay quietly on my bed.
