Please understand dogs feel emotion, and can pick up on other creatures feelings too.If you are anxious the dog will think there is something wrong with you and associate that with how your Mum behaved in her last weeks.

He/she is also missing your Mum and needs affection.I hope you start to heal and regain your happiness in some way....then the dog will too.
