Vaccine

I see the vaccine is being distributed in the U.K. Is anyone there (U.K.) going to take the vaccine? I work in a health department in U.S. and we are offered to either accept or decline. I don't work with patients but do deal with clients everyday. I am leaning towards it but....

I'm definitely having the vaccine, I'm in the UK.

in reply to

Let me know how it goes. I know it's 2 different companies but would like to know of symptoms

in reply to

Sounds like 2 severe allergic reactions to Pfizer there? But that's only 2 out of how many have gotten it.

in reply to

Of course, I'll post once I've had it but I think it's a few months away at present

You bet I will be having it asap! Unless the majority of people do this awful covid will never be under control. Don't be an anti-vaxer. Oh I am in the UK. As I have a respiratory condition and am over 65 I will be in the second group to get it. The first group will be health care workers which is all well and proper. I can't wait.

If you don't have it you will be putting people like me at further risk. How would you feel if you passed it on to someone vulnerable because you didn't have it? It's all our responsibility to protect each other.

I am not a anticancer. I usually take whatever is out there. I.guess the uncertainty of the vaccine is what I hesitate on. I will prob take it but was hoping to get feedback if possible. Everyone is different as far as allergies wise. I don't want to start an argument just feedback because we are due in 2 to 3 weeks to receive ours.

I’m not having it .....yet. I have autoimmune diseases and I don’t react well to vaccines, especially the flu vaccine. The fact that the government and the makers are immune to prosecution also worries me. If I get sick, I’ll be on my own.

in reply toMoose24

Hope everything works out for you.

If you look into the products in the vaccine it is unappealing, why do they have to put mercury and heavy metals in the vaccine.

in reply to

I have not looked into the ingredients of the vaccine. Like someone once told me they don't look at the ingredients because then they would prob decline it. They also said if it works just go with it. Not my opinion but someone else's. You're not going find not everyone will be on board with it and raise the concerns of the health risks. Which is true with the flu vaccine. I know a lot of people who decline that vaccine " because it makes them sick". If that's what they believe that is on them to make the decision to take the flu vaccine or not.

Hello :-)

I am in the UK and yes they have started vaccinating people

I am very spectacle at the moment and I shall wait a while and see how it goes and maybe when they get half way through if things look good and no one is having bad effects from it then I shall think about having it

Maybe this is my anxiety why I am holding back till we get a good idea how well people tolerate it , fingers crossed it will be a good outcome :-)

Take Care x

Kind of the way I am also. I had seen they started in U.K. Just kind of watching to see how it goes. They are talking 2 to 3 weeks before they get them here. I see the 2 that were affected were health care people who werevallergic to something in vaccine but appear to be ok now. Thank goodness.

in reply to

Hello :-)

Yes the 2 and I no it is not many but this is what I was afraid of happening I think that is why I am hanging back to see what happens

We also have another 2 different vaccines they say on the way which I seem to be more drawn to wait for

This is all so new to us all , I hope it works we need it to :-) x

in reply to

I hope so too. I read a lot of things on covid and learning.

in reply to

Hi :-)

It is good to try and get as much info as you can and learn as much as you can , this is all new to us even the experts are still learning as far as I can tell , never thought in this day we would be dealing with something like this !

If you have the vaccine le us know how you get on :-) x

in reply to

Will do. I'm happy people are commenting on here. I'm open to what people say without judging them. Never would I thot we see something like this in my lifetime either.

in reply to

Hi :-)

Yes it is all about opinions and can be interesting to see what others think and feel about it all and I respect everyone's views even if not the same as mine and I think the world would be very boring if we all thought the same :-) x

It's a good question...I think I would. It's been developed by people with an excellent understanding of microbiology, something I don't have, I'm a construction engineer.

I'm very sure it does everything it's supposed to do, and lots of research and testing has been done, I have every faith in the professional's involved.

I have been told the corona has been around awhile and they have been working on a vaccine back then but it wasn't as potent. This is the way they were able to speed up the process to have it now. Any other versions anyone hear about?

The U.S. yesterday approved the vaccine. So now we wait for FDA to sign off. No one under 16 can get the vaccination until they see that it would be safe for them.
