So I just got my routine blood work done. Here are my results. As you can see, I have elevated ALT/AST. Is it dangerous? What can I do?

Should I be worried/alarmed at my results??
Hi cj13baby, I can't tell you how many times over the years that my ALT/AST were
high and then 3 months later were back down to normal.
The person you should be asking regarding your blood workup is your doctor.
They see this all the time in their patients plus the fact that they know your health
history and can reassure you. Do nothing but leave it in your doctor's hands. xx
Thanks for your response, Agora. However, what if it’s NAFLD? That’s what scares me.
If you're concerned about the LFT results you could ask your doctor to arrange an abdominal ultrasound scan for peace of mind.
However I have seen much worse results than these.
Mine were worse than yours but no fatty liver. Ok now too.
Do you eat bananas? Have one each morning for breakfast for potassium & fibre. Fresh orange juice is another good source.
Your potassium isn't low, just at the bottom of the normal range.
Do you drink much alcohol? Your ALT and AST blood tests are related to your liver. Also make sure you are drinking the correct amount of water each day. You could phone your GP surgery to ask about your results for explanation and reassurance. If there was a concern about them your GP would have said to you or called you back for a repeat liver function test LFT (ALT and AST) . Definitely phone for an explanation of your results. Good luck.
I actually do enjoy a drink several times a week. Maybe that’s the reason for the elevation. I am also currently not physically active and my diet isn’t the best.
If you drink more than the recommended safe amount of units per week, you should cut down to help improve your result.

To keep health risks from alcohol to a low level if you drink most weeks:
men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis
spread your drinking over 3 or more days if you regularly drink as much as 14 units a week
if you want to cut down, try to have several drink-free days each week
Fourteen units is equivalent to 6 pints of average-strength beer or 10 small glasses of low-strength wine.

Good luck😎
Do you think it would be possible to lower my LFT levels if I follow this plan or do you think I should just abstain from alcohol? If it’s at all possible to lower my enzymes then I would gladly adhere to the drinking plan above so I wouldn’t have to give up drinking altogether.
Yeah it would be enough to follow the safe drinking guidelines. You don't necessarily have to give up alcohol. If in doubt of anything check with your doctor.
But my ALT is 105 and my AST is at 51. If I could lower those back down to the normal range while still being able to enjoy a drink every now and then would be amazing news to me. You think it’s possible if I just simply stick to the plan?🙂
I just noticed your LOW Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) result.
I would call your doctor first thing in the morning and ask about this.
My FBS around 9 months ago was 5.20 so I made sure to really fast right this time so as to ensure a lower FBS. Guess it worked out too well lol
