Hi. I often browse these forums, which I've found very imformative, but this may be my first post!
As I've already worked out IBS & anxiety can produce a vicious circle.
Over the last few weeks, my health has been driving me mad. A spend a lot of my day sat down (as office based) and when I stand up I start to get shaky. It tends to settle down after a while, but can happen virtually every time I stand. I've also been feeling quesy a lot of the time. I've also had spells of feeling shorter of breath than normal.
As I often get other aches & pains, I've been worried that it could be heart related and going undiagnosed. I tried to explain how I was feeling to the doctor via a phone consultation but felt rushed and got a reply along the lines of 'thats a real mish mash of symptoms'.
Any idea how I move on from here, as it's affecting my home life as well as concentration at work?
Thanks

Hi! I haven’t had anything very similar to what you are experiencing, but maybe try to find a specialist to go to instead of a regular doctor? Or try a different doctor, because another opinion is always better than one. Anyways, I hope you get through this and can find out what is troubling you, stay strong.
Hello
It has took me a while but I have come to realise that Doctors can sometimes be very flippant when we tell them how we feel which is wrong
I think despite whatever , if it be anxiety they should run tests to rule everything out and as long as they come back fine well yes seems like anxiety is the cause as it can give you so many physical symptoms
But I would phone again and tell them again this is your body and you have a right to know why it is feeling like it is and I would say either tell me what is wrong or would you please arrange some tests to rue things out
This is your right , so phone them again and if they say that is a mixture of problems agree and say well what is it and what can you do because they are real and happening !
Thanks for the replies lulu-1 & tigerblossom55. Luckily the doctor booked me in for a face to face appointment on Monday, so will get the chance to get my point over a bit easier. I intend to print off a list, so that if I get interrupted or distracted, everything will be to hand.
My plan is to come out of the consultation with at least some sort of plan of action!
hi Mark thanks for posting, over the last few weeks I have had all the symptoms you mention and still can't convince myself there is nothing seriously wrong. Mine started with IBS and the worry that it was something more sinister led to shaking, dizziness, nausea, awful aches and pains in my back and limbs and numbness in fingers and toes. I too feel I am having weird clusters of sensations.
Good for you getting a face to face appointment. Yes you must write them all down and tell about them all. I often develop different ones from questions the doctor asks and then worry i have not told him about that one.!! So even though it sounds daft to have all these things you do need to tell about them, what you think is wrong with you and open up about anxiety
