Hi first time posting and first time getting help with my depression/anxiety. I’ve been taking Lexapro 10mg for 4 weeks. I still feel the same. Should I wait longer for its effects or should I call my psych?

Of course Clark, always keep your prescribing doctor updated on your medication.

I will tell you that 4 weeks is not quite enough to reach full efficacy. It can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks and even longer if the dosage is increased during that time.

I am on it as well and it's been an outstanding drug for me. We are all different in our

responses to medication, but give it time. (unless your doctor says differently)

I will tell you that with meds, it's a matter of not only the right drug, but the right dose as well as the right time of the day to take it. Good Luck Clark. xx

Lexapro was no good for me. Your dosage may need to be increased. 10 mg is pretty low. I would reach out to your doctor. Medication works differently for others. Zoloft is my lifesaver.
