I know but sometimes I don’t even think I’m stressed but I must be subconsciously .. I think what I’m going through is just normal, I had to take a diazepam tonight as my heart is racing weird but hasn’t really help to be honest .. it’s like my heart out of nowhere went to 160 and it was making me dizzy and sweating then it was going to up to 186!!!! Because I was panicking about the first heart rate it was so horrible can’t even explain how scared I felt. I’m badly struggling scared something seriously wrong
My mum is having her last radiotherapy treatment tomorrow she’s had intense radiation all this week so hopefully it’s worked! Will have to go back for scans in couple weeks to see if the tumour has Shrunk.. they just really worried that the chemotherapy will kill her as her lungs are very poorly! She isn’t well atm having abit of side effects from radiation but just take each day as it comes and count each day as a blessing!!!
I hope your ok agora. Really appreciate your asking after my mum xxxx
Kaaayla, I know how much an impact your mother's illness and treatment has on
your own health. You are so right in that when your heart started to race as well as
the physical symptoms you experienced, you got even more frightened, causing the heart to accelerate more. Understanding the physiological cause is a step in the right
direction. Now if you could practice accepting it as not catastrophic and that it will pass
shortly, the rate will come down and your experiences will be shorter in length.
The diazepam will work if you work with it and not fight the properties in that medication.
I wish your mom well on her last radiotherapy treatment tomorrow. I hope with all my heart that they will see positive results in the tumor shrinking when she goes back for her scans. I know how difficult this has been for you. Know that we are always here and that you are not alone. xx
Just seen your reply and you know what I think your Mu is stronger than the professionals and most think she is
When she was rushed into Hospital look how she recovered when they thought she wouldn't , look how she has coped so far with this , she is not going anywhere !!!
This is all going to be so much pressure on you and with everything else in your short time on earth you have had so much sadness , illness and bereavement , more than most would possibly have in a lifetime which is so unfair but is clear to see how you have developed this HA
But again I bet you are here today in fact I know you are
Even when we are relaxed trust me we have been putting our bodies through so much stress we can still get those same symptoms , we are trying to wind down in our minds but the body can take a while longer so can still have palpitations and the rest it gives us
When these feelings come keep telling yourself , right been here , felt this , turned to be nothing what evidence do I have that it is not exactly the same again !
Keep us updated how yor Mu is wishing her well and I forgot to tell you I am starting my free sessions with Talking Mental Health in about 4 weeks , how did you find yours any help ?
Take Care x
I've had this problem before! Personally, it was like my brain was trying to figure out what was wrong with me so I was always paying attention to my heart. (I still do but I fight it a lot better now). Youre absolutely dealing with some crazy stress. (This is easier said than done of course) Try to transition your focus on finding what your subconscious stressors are and a solution to them.
I promise this kind of anxiety is a war, hang in there and keep fighting.
Hi Kaaayla, talk to your GP ask him for propranolol, this is a Beata Blocker which is really great for this type of symptom, have had this for years and take one when my heart starts racing and I’m not doing anything can also help with blood pressure,I am on 10mg which is a small dose, you will be great on these, Best Wishes Darryl12kinvara
Feel like your Tryna patronise me like I’m a little kid or something about afraid I’ll increase the dose on my own. In my previous post you have made me feel really crap about myself
