Air in chest feel like it’s dropping
Hello
I don't think everyone is tired of you but I think sometimes the advise that is given by mostly people that are struggling themselves may feel that you are not taking it on board and as we are not professionals there is only so much we can do and then we get lost with what more we can say to try and help
Professional help is needed and I believed you said you were seeking this , I hope you are and I hope they can help you with your problems as no matter how much reassurance you seem to get it does not seem to help but just feeds the anxiety instead
Maybe as I have suggested before look back at your posts realise that all the things you think have been wrong have not happened and when you feel something is wrong ask yourself what proof have you got that what you are feeling is actually happening , start to practice challenging your thoughts and feelings and please get that help you need
Take Care x
Echoing this, nicely said. 😊
Zhiyah1012 lulu-1’s suggestion to start challenging your thoughts is something you can put into practice now. There are a number of free apps available and other things you can do in the meantime.
You google and research a lot online, I found this very comprehensive list of free apps, etc.. Look into self help online as self help is important as you can learn many management and coping mechanisms to help you while you wait for therapy appointment? Example maybe look at 1,2,6,9 as a good start on the list.

I understand but trust us when we say when we get in a frame of mind that engulfs us with fear we get used to thinking that way and to change our thinking pattern is not as easy as it sounds but with practice you can , you are so young you can get this I know you can and then you have so many years ahead of you to enjoy your life and fulfil your dreams x
Hi Zhiyah... first of all my dear, no one on this forum gets tired in hearing from you or
anyone else. This is that safe place you can come to remember? We all understand
and want to see each other reach their goal. Don't punish yourself by not reaching
out. At least sharing your fears can help relieve some of your concerns..
Listen to "lulu-1" advice. she is just another one of the many kind and caring members
on this site that want to help. She is right in that we must help ourselves as well by
reaching out for professional help. We can only offer what has worked for us in our own
life's experiences.
You will get through this with our help, your help and your therapists. Stay Positive xx
P.S. Oh, that sensation in your chest is not your heart but your over sensitized nervous
system fed by all your adrenaline...it gives you that rush sensation like you get on an elevator. It is not harmful.
Hi I agree with all the replies. Don't forget what we have told you helps us so it's lived experience. This combined with professional help should enable you to take some control of your anxiety.
I am probably one of the oldest posters on here (I am 78) and have been around, had my fair share of heartache and worry and I like to think I can offer some help as I've probably been there myself in the past. I don't think for one minute that people on here have had enough of you. In my "Grandmother" capacity I will say to you as I would one of my own you must seek help and I'm sure you already have. If you live in the U.K. Samaritans are a great help. I have used them in the past for my own troubles and went on later to become a Volunteer at the end of the line. There is help out there, get it !
