Surgery anxiety
Hello
Have you got over the Covid and feeling better from that ?
Anyone having surgery is going to feel anxious , but this is quite a simple op one they do every day , they know exactly what they are doing and you need to trust them as you will be fine honestly
The thoughts you are having I think we all think that , accept that is normal but at the same time realise that is anxiety telling you this and not reality
You will wake up and at least you won't have any more bother with those gallstones so try and turn your negative thoughts into positive one's , I know it is not easy but you will get through this and come and let us know how you are after because I know you will still be here
Take Care x
COVID rest came back negative today feeling a lot better and thanks I really needed that
O that is good news , shows how strong you are , if you can beat Covid , having your gall bladder out will be a walk in the park as we say which means easy
I have Health Anxiety and yet over the years I have had a couple of ops , yes I was worried and had the what "if's" made myself ill with worry prior and yet every time I would be waking up as they are so good at what they do
You will be fine honestly x
Hope so! Thank you again
You will be fine. Its safer for you now than before covid19 came on the scene. Just think how nice it will be without the sickness x
It will , you wait and see , come back and tell us x
Caronshuler, you will be in the best of hands next Wednesday.
Safe and secure. And know that for that time, anxiety will leave

the worst part of surgery like gall bladder removal us the anxiety before. you will wake up and it will be all over so fast youll wonder why you were so anxious.
had mine removed yrs ago and it was a snap back to work in 11 days and i was worried about not wwaking up also.try not to worry and think about the rest youll get recovering at home relaxing reading and watching tv. you wont feel too bad just your belly button will hurt when getting up or laying back down for a few days.
Having my gallbladder out was my first surgery too. I've had 4 more since then. By far, the gallbladder removal was the easiest. It was such a relief to wake up and not have that pain and discomfort anymore, and I could eat normally again! I only had to take pain meds the first day, but then I was able to only take Tylenol. Good luck to you! Remember, we're here for you
Hi Caronshuler119,
Glad to hear that you have recovered from Covid.
I had my gallbladder out in 2014 and the op and recovery period was no problem
I have other health issues so it took me a month before I could go back to my work which is quite physical.
I was also 63 years of age at the time. The treatment and care I received from all the N.H.S staff was fantastic.
Honestly, there is nothing to worry about it is a common op, and I'm sure you will be up and about in no time.
All the best.xx
Surgery was a success thanks everyone for the love and support I was worried for no reason! Nurses and doctors did a fantastic job
I’m having mine out Monday. I feel like the pain is getting worse. My entire insides are burning. I also have this feeling of doom and scared of dying
