Surgery

Im nervous and anxious its nearing the date of my surgery and even though Ive done everything required im uneasy. Its good for me but lets be honest just the word surgery is scary.

Yeah surgery is scary,just have to put faith in doctors.

Thanks and I do I been dealing with for 6months and now that its here im like OMG🤦🏻‍♀️

You're right. Surgery is scary to me too, but am glad you trust your doctors. I had a minor procedure on Thursday, and I cannot believe why I was nervous about it. Guess it's just normal cause I 'm not in control when I'm under anesthesia, and am always surprised when they wake me up and tell me it's all over. You're going to be fine, and I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how it all goes, ok?

I guess im nervous cuz I had a cesarean done for my son to be born but I remember the pain and even tho this surgery is minor than that Im just a mess cuz recovery will be hard but ill keep you posted

Oh, my! So that memory is popping up. No wonder you're a bit scared.

When I was younger I had to have some similar surgery and after I was supposed to be asleep, I opened my eyes, looked at my surgeon and told him "I don't like that"!. He was making his first incision and yelled at the anesthesiologist and I went back to sleep. Wish you could have seen my doctor's face the next day and asked him why that happened; he didn't think I would remember it.

Now you made me remember it, and I just shake my head, but it wasn't funny until I saw his face the next day.

So, I understand why you must be a bit nervous. Aren't bad memories a pain in the behind; they come up sometimes when we need them the least.

Try to remember how great it was to have your baby afterward. Sorry, you seem to know something about the recovery being difficult, but think you are a very wise and strong woman to know the facts and are prepared for it.
