Hi I don’t feel particularly anxious but I have tingling hands and feet, feels really odd. I did pull my neck at the weekend so Was thinking it’s that, but also know I have suffered with it before when anxiety flares up. Any ideas anyone? Feels awful like I am walking on cushions!

Tingling feeling
I’ve been suffering from the same for nearly two weeks. Started on my left foot then spread to both legs hands and parts of the face. The fave and hand have now settled down and it’s mainly in the calves now. I’ve also had strange burning skin sensations but they are easing now. I’ve been out if my mind with anxiety and have actually made myself ill.
Had bloods which were normal, checked B12 levels and other minerals all fine.
I have been quite stressed the past month with work (in a hospital) money and kids being at home.
Drs aren’t too concerned but gave me propranolol to calm me and a referral to neuro in case.
I hope you get relief soon from the sensations and stress and anxiety. Drs not concerned and health checks being fine are good signs.
Did the propranolol help with anxiety? Or are they for just calming down the heart and pulse rate?
Thanks in advance.
Hi, yes I think the propranolol is helping to keep me calm and it stops the adrenaline rushes. I just wish my appetite would come back haven’t had a proper meal in a week! I’ve had episodes like this before thinking I’m dying but before it was heart palpitations not tingling.
I'm glad it helps. I hope your appetite returns.
Do you take the propranolol only when you feel symptoms or do you take them regularly daily?
I have it too but I haven't tried.
Anxiety can cause us to breathe too shallow whether we are aware of it or not. This can cause tingling in hands and feet - hyperventilating.
