Anxiety Attack

I think I’m having an anxiety attack.... My heart is pounding out of my chest. I feel tingly and my head burns at the top.. I’m in the car and we’re driving 30 miles away so we’re in the middle of nowhere. I don’t want to pass out or die. I just want to cry. Somebody talk to me I am trying to calm down. :(

Hang in there... breathe! You will be fine.

Are you stressing out about something or going somewhere that triggers your anxiety?

I know it’s easier said then done, but whatever it is you’re fearing, face it head on.

It’s tough, but it has really helped me deal with attacks.

You’re symptoms are all anxiety... the tingling and especially the heart pounding.

Stay strong, stay safe!

anon99, I'm sorry I just saw this now. Have you settled down some?

For the most part. This was such a horrifying feeling... It took a while to calm down- I felt like I kept having attack after attack after that big one. I feel extra depersonalization-ey and derealization-ey.

anon99, it sounds like you have settled down some although the residual effect

may hang around for a while. It's a shock to your body but now, it's best to leave

that thought behind. It was being out of your comfort zone that may have brought

on the panic and as you went further away, the fear built. By now, you must realize

that you are safe. Nothing happened to you and nothing will happen to you. It was

anxiety putting the fearful thoughts in your mind. But you won. Try doing some

calming meditation before going to sleep tonight. It's going to be okay. :) xx

Oh my god dear I hope you are fine. This one of my biggest fears is to get a panic attack while driving 😭💔 next time try to get busy talk to yourself and say I'm fine this is a panic attack and it will last for few minutes. Try to call somebody and talk to or just pretend you are filming a youtube video and you are showing the people how it feels. Maybe that will help. I hope you dont suffer that especially when driving.

I had anxiety attacks while driving it’s really scary I was on my way to lake Charles Louisiana to visit my sister. I was feeling the same symptoms you described I was at a gas station for 2 hours walking trying to calm down. Until I made it to my sisters house anyway what helps me with anxiety is Not drinking any energy drinks and no coffee I just drink water now and lemonade I also try to keep the same rhythm on my breathing that helps a lot and most importantly I try to keep my mind focused on other things so that I can avoid thinking of anxiety

It was so scary. Ever since this attack I’ve had horrible anxiety and attacks and feelings I’ve never felt. It traumatized me and now I’m stuck with anxiety.

Try to stay calm and breath normally, you will eventually learn how to deal with it like I did. I know it’s scary at times but always try to think positive and that you will be okay

Breathing really helps. But it’s easy for me to hyperventilate, I’ve been working on it for sure. Ty for your advice :)
