Yes. I can feel zoned out and can't concentrate on anything. It's really annoying.
It's a terrible panicky feeling
How do you cope with it?
I am not perfect at it yet but I try to acknowledge it, breathe and try to focus on something else like work. Does generally help and then I find after a while I haven't noticed feeling panicky or worried. Someone else on here recommended a book to me by Sam Weeks which I have ordered to help try to deal with that feeling and the kind of ghost symptoms you experience. I had convinced myself I had MS and went to doctors about it and he told me almost immediately I didn't have it. I still doubted the doctor though and it took me a couple more days to feel more in control but the point was when I stopped focusing on the symptoms I thought I was experiencing, I stopped noticing it and started to feel alot better. Its not instant and it does take time but u need to stick with it. Not sure if that helps at all but I hope it does x
It's fight or flight response. In the wild, escaping game from predators shuts down the fight or flight response once the danger is over. Unfortunately, in Anxiety the fight or flight response gets stuck. It doesn't shut of. What's worse, the fight or flight response activates on perceived fear that is not real. It takes miliseconds for system to activate. Blood pressure goes up, heart rate goes up. All the blood rushes to muscles and away from the brain. If the system mulfunctions you may not get enough blood flow to the brain and lightheadedness may occur. Find a way to relax the system. Best ways is through deep breathing. Learn to mediate and when you do try meditating twice daily for twenty minutes. The effects will compound.
