Fear of antibiotics

Hi all. Does anyone else suffer from medication phobia? I have health anxiety and fear of new medication is high on the list of fears. I have to take a new antibiotic for an ear infection. With every new med I am prescribed, i voraciously read the internet and then freak myself out. I am particularly afraid of having an allergic reaction. (Only has happened once in 48 years to a doxycycline)

I took my first pill about 6 hours ago. Since then I have been monitoring my body? Do I feel itchy? Maybe a little. My stomach hurts more, my body hurts more? Maybe. The questions ... the fear... the constant body monitoring. Anyway, has anyone ever found a good way to deal with medicine phobia?

I have a terrible fear of antibiotics because of what happened to me 5years ago I had diverticulitis was admitted to hospital they gave me iv antibiotics for 1night went home next day week later took cdiff because of taking the medicine had to go by ambulance to ER passed out 3times before we got there they were going to do surgery checked blood work again decided not to put on 2more antibiotics for over a month to get rid of cdiff now when I get sick I’m scared I will take it again I almost died.
