Waiting game

I hope Boris Johnson manages to find the strength to pull his finger out of his fat ass, and actually give us Brits a game plan, rather than feed us crap about “ herd immunity “. Sounds more like population control to me .

I agree. As the population is hanging about a bit longer, its like a "cull" to get rid of the elderly & people with underlying problems for the NHS! Every other country is taking proper action, Bungling Boris really needs to get his head out of the clouds 🤬

I agree Emerald , something don’t smell right . I’d of put us on lockdown a week ago, and shut all the borders

O tell me about it !

What does he think he is playing at !

I live just of a main road and you always hear traffic going up and down yet these last 3 days you hardly can hear a thing so I am wondering if us Brits are taking matters in are own hands and not bothering waiting for him !

Last night though I have to say the Italians know how to make the best of things

Someone sent me a clip where they are all on their balconies , playing music , singing and dancing and waving to each other , it was like one big Community party , was lovely to see

I said if us lot do eventually go in lock down we would never do that we will just sit in our own homes not talking to anyone been miserable :-D

It feels really quite though out doors , maybe everyone is at the supermarket getting those gold dust toilet rolls :-D

Take Care x

I feel like you can go on lockdown and still go for a walk if you live in the country side . Boris is showing little brain cells right now . I saw that video btw, was good to hear them all singing

in reply to Ryan990

Well he is doing a little more now according to the news , shutting pubs and stuff telling us to keep away from each other which suites me fine , don't like many people anyway :-D O and not go to shops unless you have to , so how we are meant to eat Im not sure , we have already worked out we can't wipe our bottoms but as he talks out of his he won't have that problem :-D x

There is no official shutdown of pubs in the UK as it's voluntary.

We in France are going into lockdown at 12 pm today. Hope the UK gets a game plan soon.

What’s it like over there right now? Uk are slow to react to this warning

Well against all advice to voluntarily avoid unnecessary contact ( the french have always been resistant to authority 😊) the President has finally come down hard like a teacher with a naughty class . And a good job too! There is a government site where you have to download a pass which you sign on your honour authorizing you to go to medical appointments, the food shops or chemists, and work if you cannot work from home. You are also allowed to walk (by yourself) around where you live to take exercise. As this is the law you will be fined if you do not have a valid reason to be out and about. Yesterday there was sudden panic with people going crazy in the shops bulk buying, stealing other people's food from their trolley and even fisty- cuffs . It's like the Apocalypse 😂. But I'm glad something is being done. The cases of victims is doubling every 3 days and if it is not controlled it will probably mutate into something even nastier. This is nature's revenge and our come uppance.

Take care and even if the measures are voluntary in the UK at the moment treat them like the law. The UK is heading for an Italy like scenario if it doesn't do something concrete NOW.

I have enough resources to last me a few months of isolation . Including money . I am think about doing it. We need Boris to stop smoking crack , and start doing the same as France , Spain , Italy ect . Hope all goes ok for you xx

Me too and a garden thank goodness - I have cats and dogs!

If everyone thought like you the virus would be sorted within a couple if months. And we are not " confined" - we can still get our noses outdoors for essential things. I have 2 sons who come to stay and work from home for the curfew as they live in flats in Paris ( I'm in the suburbs) so we'll make a jolly crew ,😊.

Look after yourself!

Herd immunity.. he's treating us like sheep. And that's because his scientist is expecting the second wave in autumn? How does he know ? this is a new virus! Everyone is wrong and Boris is right. We are so lucky indeed ://

Here in Spain no outdoor activity is allowed. Only one person per household can go to the supermarket or chemist. Total isolation. Police patrolling the streets, sending people home and /or fining them. Not an easy situation 😉

Sounds prudent to me. The less contact we have with each other, the better. Unfortunately. But until it gets under control, mitigation is necessary it appears. And without force, people don't seem to want to follow the guidelines.

He will be telling us to kill the virus with kisses next . That sneezing on someone is the new hand shake .
