Waiting for mri results

I had the MRI yesterday and I’m waiting for results. It’s hard not to think the worst which is my usual pattern. I hope this will be good news. How do you stop the constant worry?

Distract yourself. Go for a drive, watch movies, play video games, anything that you enjoy. Do that until you need to leave.

Distract your self with outer noise that might help you shut off the inner noise. Listen to music, sing along with the music, get involved in something hands on that requires your thoughts to be on that one thing, maybe send your focus on something like doing breathing exercises to calm and relax and lower heart rate if anxiety is running 90 to nothing.

The doc ordered the test for a reason, keep remembering the outcome will answer your health concerns and reasons for needing it in the first place, there’s always the chance it reveals good news, so there’s always thinking positive if you’ll allow your self to keep the glass half full.

Good Luck Speechpat, please keep us updated.

Worry is a natural response to the unforeseen.

What I do is tell myself that the problem or not

is already there and all the worry in the world

won't change that.

In having this mind frame, he makes me better

prepared to deal with an issue or rejoice in the

words "everything is okay"

In either way you will get an answer and be able

to go forward. Breathe :) xx

Thanks Agora. I was hoping you were still here on this website. I haven’t been on for a few months. I’m determined to get answers and get my strength back.

The preliminary results of the MRI were good. Nothing unusual was seen. Just some arthritic changes in the cervical spine. I feel very fortunate for this news because as usual I go to the worst possible case scenario.Thank you for your support. Now we have to figure out why my hips and legs are so sore.
