So I have had this white spot at the back of my mouth for months and I’ve got the most horrible pain when swallowing food no other tenderness other then eating. I went drs a while back but she “couldn’t see anything” and dismissed me really quick and my anxiety just let her walk all over me really, she makes me feel like I’m overreacting every time I make an appointment. I’ve got a swollen lymph node and she sent me for a ultrasound and they told me they wanted to take a biopsy (it’s the same side, left, as my white spot) and she said no let’s wait and re scan in 6 weeks. The 6 weeks has passed now and I don’t even want to ask again for another scan because she makes me feel uncomfortable about asking I’m sure she believes it to be a part of my anxiety problems. I’ll attach a picture if anyone can reassure me please 😊

Help I’m going crazy
she said she couldn’t even see the spot that I was talking about and put it down to a virus. I was hoping she would just reassure me to be honest but I didn’t get that. I cannot feel anything on my right (no pain I mean) and I don’t see anything in the mirror on my right side either. I think my main worry is that I have a enlarged lymph node that sticks out the side of my neck which has been there for over a year now and now the pain while swallowing food but only on my left side and problems with my left ear (fluid build up and pain) I’m just worried she’s missed something tbh. And the ultrasound I had on my lymph node showed it was definitely enlarged but she just wanted to leave it a further 6 weeks because again she thought it was viral.
The lymph node no not painful at all, my throat in general is not painful unless I’m swallowing food. Then it’s only pain on my left side as the food is being swallowed. If that makes sense.
Don’t know if this helps or not but I have an enlarged lymph node I went to the g.p said nothing to worry about they go on their own it has now been 3 years with it still their and they are still saying nothing to worry about it has even changed colour and they are not worried they usually find what they need on ultrasound and they say unless your concerned you can have it removed it is other wise an astechic thing
The Sonographer said that it would need a biopsy and to contact my gp for a referral to the ENT but my gp said that it would be best just to wait a further 6 weeks. Which is fine but now I’m getting a lot of pain while swallowing and this white spot is bothering me as it’s really not going away.
I think they may say that’s a dental issue rather than g.p there are emergency dentists around too not sure if you have them in your area hope you get answers soon and your right they usually give you a biopsy I’m yet to have one and it’s been 3 years they do say with lymph nodes you may have an underlying condition x
It’s a referral to the ENT department as it’s in my neck but yeah I’m sure it’s fine. The gp was trying to say I was poorly I think and that was the reason it was enlarged which is why she asked for a repeat on the scan in 6 weeks.
The dr told me it was a virus about 4 months ago. I’m not poorly?
Did you have your repeat scan? Am I reading correctly this is what the md wanted?
It looks like a tonsil stone, a tiny one.
Go and see a dentist and point out the white spot.
I get them i have one right now on the left side i had one before was there for months then just went now i have another one my doc said was throught infection and there just little ulcers sometime if youve had a bit of a virus u can get one then they can stick around for a while. Try not to worry though i was the same i even used something to try scrape it of but it didnt work lol but honestly i wouldnt worry
