Hi all. I’m dealing with almost daily constant anxiety about my heart. I’ve had numerous ekgs and an echo about a month ago all came out ok. I’m 29 years old. My heart always seems to be beating fast. Then I get anxious which makes it beat faster. It’s a vicious circle. Anyone have any advice to deal with this? Please help.

Feel like I’m going crazy
Hi, i have suffered very similar symptoms for a number of years. Things I have found that helped is listening to guided meditation (lots of stuff on you tube). Also there are several good books that explain how anxiety / panic disorder affects us. It seemed to help me keep things in check when I understood a little more about it. Hope this helps.
What things are you doing to address your anxiety?
I suggest trying to focus your energies in that department.
I used to suffer thecsame health anxiety.
But i finally went to therapy, got on medication.
It was hard work but i have my life back now.
Heck, i had breast cancer 3 years ago and made it through treatment without any anxiety at all.
I practiced extra self care during that time to make sure I'd be okay mentally. And i was.
I am much older than you, but something that I did recently which has worked wonderful for me is to put that darn Pulseox down and ignore it. I just put my mind elsewhere, I don't check the heart rate all the time, and if it is beating fast I just let it be. This has been a Godsend for me.
Thanks for the reassuring replies! I do need to focus my energies on other things for sure. It’s mostly bad at night when kids are in bed and all is quiet and all I have are my thoughts. Thank you all for your support. 😊
Bit delayed but just came across your post. How are you doing now? Are you on any meds?
