Hi I went to doctor he gave me some tablets he said he thinks it’s gastritis .... still not really believing that but he said try the tablets ..... one a day for a month then will see if it’s still bad
Hey Jayde! I’m about your age (I’m almost 21) and I had that feeling before... turns out it was a panic attack. I didn’t know it was that because panic attacks are VERY different from anxiety attacks...
Also, being as I’m a nursing student, I know that it could be many things. It could be acid reflux, indigestion, even a pinched nerve!
If it keeps up go to the doctor but don’t worry!!!!!!!😇
Hi thanks for replying!!! I went to see my doctor and he said it’s gastritis he gave me some tablets one a day for a month.... I know i shouldn’t turn to google I seem to think it’s going to put me at ease😂 when every time it makes me panic more xx
Hi! Omg so you panicked about it the same as me! I went to the doctors he said it was gastritis .... still don’t believe it’s that but he gave me some tablets one a day for a month .... said I’m far too young to have oesophagus cancer
Hi. I use to run to Dr Google for everything. Wrong thing to do. I swear I had ever crazy anxiety symptom. It was bad for me. I went to an ear nose and throat doctor due to my taste buds got inflamed I felt like I had something in my throat. He stuck a camera down my throat and said i was fine. For someone with anxiety Google isn't our friend.
This is my biggest health fear currently and has been since August when out of the blue I felt I was struggling to swallow.
More recently I have experienced the pain in my back/shoulder blade like you describe.
This kind of anxiety is horrible to live with and you should really try to trust your doctor and stop googling. Doctors have been to medical school, anyone can post on the internet!
I found some official statistics on oesophageal cancer. For my age range, 25-34, the chance of oesophageal cancer was 1 in 100,000 so very rare. In under 25s it was 0 in 100,000 (meaning that almost no one your age gets it - incredibly rare) Whilst not impossible, the chances of you having oesophageal cancer are so, so small.
Hi EleanorRose. I liked your reply. I too had to learn anyone can post on Google. It's still a struggle. It's still a struggle to feel something and not freak out. Makes it all worse. Like my post previous. It all explains when this started.
