Heart palpitations

Bit of a long one, had palpitations on Wednesday night for hours on end, couldn’t settle couldn’t sleep, finally managed to sleep. Thursday night, heart palpitations for 3 hours so rang 111 (uk) sent out an ambulance, ended up getting took into hospital, these palpitations showed up on an ecg... etc ... they went on for 6 hours ! Every 10/16 beats sometimes every 5 so on...

after being on heart monitors all night they said that I’d be fine and that I should see my GP already seen my gp he told me to up my propranolol, and I’m getting a 24hr heart monitor fitted on the 28th which is next Friday. Tonight I have them again and they’ve went on for 2 hours I feel like I’m choking and I feel awful like my heart is stopping for a few seconds. I feel like I am going crazy and that no one will help me. Surely this isn’t normal !!! It’s so uncomfortable and I’m anxious about them !

Did you increase your meds already?

It will be good to get the monitor and see what that shows.

I get them sometimes and I hold my breath for a few seconds and they stop.

If they continue and you are symptomatic call for help.

Limit caffeine if you drink it.

i've had heart palpitations for 35 years and still do had all kinds of test heart monitors ekgs ehco tests etc. nothing shows up even got taken to hospital once and the palpitations stopped when i got there. now i just deal with it meditation visualization etc. it helps to slow them down
