You know what's funny??

Seeing a therapist, psychologist or even my regular doctor, so you might get this from time to time that whatever your feeling is probrally anxiety. Okay I get it, because my results came back normal they point at anxiety...question is to my therapist or doctor..

Me: So these feelings I get air hunger, dizziness , chronic lightheaded and faint spells and chest punches, insomnia, 24/7 anxiousness...have you been through other people who suffered the same...

Doctor or therapist: umm well dizziness yes, chest pains from panic attacks

Me: well I dont realy suffer with panic attacks , how about the air hunger and faint spells

Doctor or therapist: well never ran into someone with that particular symptom in regards to anxiety, but anxiety can cause alot of symptoms and this might be one..

Me in my head: wtf ...so you mean to tell me you can just point everything at anxiety but yet you havent seen someone before with anxiety cone to you with any feelings such as these.. so wouldn't that tell you maybe it's not anxiety ..

Moral of my point in this story is that doctors can say its anxiety but yet your probrally the first person who complained of these symptoms and yet they couldnt find something to tell you. Did we go through the whole book of trials or did we just stop at xrays ,blood work or MRI's...it could be their job to rule out anything serious at the moment ..but that's only for the moment, what else can they do , maybe look at other areas in the body..so your dizzy let's do a mri..then mri is normal oh you probrally just have anxiety.. or let's do echocardiogram or stress test, but it's normal so you have anxiety.. but we didn't check if you have a tumor in your ass or cancer growing deep in your gut or liver or whatever....let's face it...anxiety came from something if not emotional , physical as it says in the books even from illness...

Sorry just bored and I'm on edge right now so I'm venting..

You made me smile...

First time I saw a doctor about my symptoms, he said to me "Hmm, your a difficult one, that's too many symptoms!" 😂

I can laugh now, but at the time I was devastated and in tears in his office. Later I was told I don't have classic panic attacks, I presume because my symptoms didn't fit with what was written in the book! Yes they did all the tests to rule out anything nasty, of which I am grateful for, but other than that they don't seem to have a clue.

So now I am Just left with my horrible muscle tension and pain, nausea, unbalanced feeling and upset stomach. Which I know Just from common sense is all to do with anxiety and tension, it's not rocket science! I have had a really bad week this week and the way I feel makes my life a misery. The last time I saw a doctor about 4 months ago she said to me " There's nothing left to do!"

Huh? I suppose she meant I've had every test, but I have to go away and live every day like this. Yes I know we have a responsibility to ourselves, and believe me I try.... But really?!!

Sorry for the rant too, but you just got me going 😊 I'm sure we are not the only ones!?

You may want to get checked for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). My doctor wrote off my symptoms as anxiety, but luckily I had one good doctor who investigated more fully and got to the bottom of it. It was NOT anxiety. I find it extremely dismissive when doctors make an assumption that physical symptoms are anxiety without fully ruling out other possible causes.
