It sounds much more like Thrush to me which is very common. Try over the counter meds and if they don't help see your doctor. Anal cancer would have a lot more symptoms than this! x

Thankyou for your reply,i have realised I had this last year and a couple of times during the year so I now realise if it was anything serious as you say I would have a lot more symptoms by now , I just need to use the creme I was given last year which made it go away. Sometimes you just need to tell someon(this chat group) and see it written down to realise its anxiety playing tricks on your mind jumping to the worst case scenario. X

I know how you feel. When I was first told that I had Crohn’s disease all I could think of was the chances of me getting cancer, but I learned to not overthink this kind of stuff, because overthinking won’t do me any good.

You are welcome and I understand how hearing a different opinion can be useful. If the over the counter med doesn't work do get it checked out with a doctor x

It could be anything, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s cancer. Go to a gastroenterologist and get it checked. It could be an infection or maybe even hemorrhoids 🤷🏻‍♀️

Itching around that area can indicate thread worms, which also can cause a sticky discharge. Next time you pass stool have a look if you can see any. It’s treated very easily with Ovex.

That's what I was thinking too paranoidcherry. xx

A stool specimen will be able to determine just what it is.
