So worried. I keep getting a pain on the left side of my ribs and near my back when exhaling. I'm so worried it's my heart, but I had my heart checked out and it was healthy. Could it be muscle tension from stress??

Pain in back
I have this also. Pain on left side is could be your digestive system. If you imagine a clock on your stomach is the pain between 2-5? I also get pain under my ribs, across my shoulders and in my back. Poor digestion is a sympton of anxiety but it's probably worth having it checked out. This is what my doctor told me anyway. 😏 also chest pain is very common, muscle tension, anxiety can cause many strange and worring symptoms. Hope you feel better soon.
You are right I am dealing with severe indigestion problems. I have had numerous trips to the Emergency room. My symptoms for this indigestion my arms hurt my neck hurts tightness in my chest. Turned out my esophagus was inflamed. This all just started on my last job. It was my Boss she literally was an Adult Bully. When I would pull up in parking lot Automatically my stomach didn't feel good. Everyday of dealing with her eventually led me to leaving that job. So yes Stressing will really do a number on your body.
I have the same pain in the middle of my back and neck. I went to the doctor and he said it was a pinch nerve, but I don't think add so, I will go back to the doctor for a second opinion . I developed gerd acid reflux due to my stress and tension. You should get it checked out to make sure it's just stress and tension. Hope you feel better
Hello, It possibly could be from Stress because I stress and worry to the point where it makes me sick, meaning body aches nausea, anything. Your heart is fine so that is good. Try to figure out what triggers your back to hurt are you stressing everyday or just certain times, and when your stressing does your back pain start? Hopefully you will get some relief soon.
Yes, it can be muscle spasms - and they can be extremely painful. Try taking Magnesium, it works wonders within a day or two.
I have had that too. My doctor said when it hurts when you exhale that could be pleurasy. Try rubbing some heat or Ben gay on the area ...if it's that it will help. A heating pad may also help. It did for me. Always check with your doctor first..
Feel better.
I have the same symptoms in the middle of my back. My doctor also said a pinch nerve but I think it's something elselse because this is a constant pain in the middle of my back. @ Kalama right you said magnesium are they pills or liquids. I never tried it and Imake willing to try anything for the pain
I have had pain "bolt" up from my stomach to my chest and heart area. It always gives me a big schock, but it's not so freqwent anymore.
I think it is a digestion thing, but I also agree with the magnesium comment.
I'm actually on the AF Asocciation forum because I have AFIB, and blog about it: myafibheart.com/home/heart-...
I was diagnosed with Panic Attacks just after I had my first AFIB attack, and was in a panic everytime I felt some sort of pain in my chest and back area. My digestion, stress and some muscle spasms were the reason for all my pain attacks.
