Medication

I’ve heard you can find the right antidepressant drug but it costs a lot of money like $1,000 is what my doctor told me. Well that is certainly worth it in my opinion. I’m tired of all the symptoms of anxiety, and symptoms that affect my nervous system from worrying all the time that never go away etc. not feeling like myself. I want to feel normal so bad again. Before it was just anxiety in school and it was tolerable but now I just feel like a different person since the agoraphobia, not seeing friends anymore, taking meds and symptoms of anxiety I didn’t even know could exist but all in all this past year and a half have been miserable with very few good days that honestly almost felt normal but it’s more bad days then good. Has anyone had experience with paying a lot of money to get the right medication for you? I don’t want to trial and error anymore, I’d rather not live anymore if these symptoms are permanent and cannot be rid of. Any help is suggested

You can always take supplements like omega 3’s, vitamin d, magnesium etc

I started taking a vitamins D3 and fish oil triple strength daily now. Only less than a week in with those supplements. I also exercise daily at the gym and have a great diet. Idk what to do. Seems like I try and try and try. I could stop these meds and see how my body reacts to doing all the natural things I have been doing.

The foggy feeling is just too much and it’s like mind fog mix with weird vision 24/7 followed by head pressure when anxiety hits or attacks which is only if I go out of my comfort zone since I’m agoraphobic

I would also like to say the foggy/vision feeling makes me feel like I’m not present or I’m the moment. So hard to explain

I live in the U.S. and had a test done from Genesight that used my blood to determine what psychotropic drugs were best suited for me. I thought it was pretty informative and accurate and was fortunate that it was paid for by my Medicare insurance. I understand that it was approximately $5000. a few years ago without insurance.

Hi! I can completely relate to you, and I swear I tried every supplement known to man, exercised daily, kept a strict diet, and slept a full 8 hours. The funny thing is none of it helped. I took the Genesight test through my psychiatrist, and while it doesn’t give you the exact medicine it can help you rule out ones that won’t work for you. I’ve found that antidepressants work for me for a few months and then stop unfortunately :( Also, I just wanted to add that I know the genesight test is the only one currently approved to find the right medication, and it definitely isn’t 1,000. Mine was around 300 without insurance (because mine refused to help pay for it). I hope this helps, if you need anything let me know! I wish you the best of luck on your mental health journey!
