Is anyone on Lamictal ?
I have been on a hundred and 50 mg twice a day but I also take BuSpar I can't say it works all that great but it does help. I've been on the same drug for about two years I'm ready to change to be honest with you I still don't see where it's helping me all that great. I was given a generic this time I think last month I was taking the regular pill so I'm thinking that the generic is not that great. Hope this helps
I do not want to deter you from trying lamictal. It may work for you!
I took it after recovering from a bad benzo withdrawal. (In the hospital)
I had pretty bad depression a few days every month after taking Lamictal, so I didn’t feel it was a good fit for me. But you never know until you try. Not many other side effects so my problem could have been protracted withdrawal.
It may work for you. Many people give it high reviews.
I asked to be changed to 50mg of Topamax. This calmed my nerves, helped my migraines and I took it on an empty stomach in the morning. Everyone is so different.
Maybe give the lamictal a try to see if it works for you. Knowing there are other alternatives helps.
Best wishes!
I'm on 200 mg a day. I'm on other things in addition to that.
I never had any problems with it.
I've never had cognitive therpy can you explain about it.
Hi Gerry Yes cognitive therapy is exposing yourself slowly to the things that cause you fear and panic, for example I get severe panic and start to feel faint when driving the highway so using cognitive therapy I go and drive maybe one mile on the highway until I feel comfortable than I go a little further each time I am comfortable with the the distance until I get used to the highway driving. I have heard many times this is the best way to conquer fear is to face it head on and I have conquered some of the things I feared by doing this. Although I still haven't been able to drive the highway yet (I haven't practiced honestly) . I hope this helps you understand it a little better.. Best Regards
I have been in it for a while now and I take 400 mg a day 200 am and 200 pm., I find it to be a mild drug with few side affects. For me it has been very good.
I have to tell you that Lamictal has been a real game changer for me. It's the mood stabilizing that I have been longing for. I take Wellbutrin for my depression. I also have temporal lobe epilepsy so the Lamictal helps with seizures as well.
