Hi, need reassurance... had a panic attack 3 days ago and for the past 2 days my face and now head has felt so numb and tingly - like I have pins and needles constantly all over my head. Has anyone else had this and is it an after effect from anxiety?? Can’t seem to shift it... spreads down my arms and even a bit on my legs too but mainly al over my head and is so unnerving and uncomfortable 😣 Any advice or reassurance welcome x

Does it follow an anxiety panic attack and how long can it last for? I’m worried as i still have it 2 days later but that’s probably not helping. Went away for a few hours yesterday but it came back with vengeance yesterday evening and is very bad this morning still!

I had it before my panic attack kicked in, it lasted about a week, it was my body slowly getting stressed and more tense, then tingly then all my symptoms got worse then the panic attack hit. I’ll tell u what helps my tension and symptoms

caused by anxiety.. My chiropractor . My neck gets really tight and tense causing me headaches and tingly skull. Honestly it’s a god send . Gives me months of relief then when ii feel it coming back il go see her again, she’s amazing!

Hi I can understand where you're coming from I don't have it on my head but I have it from my waist on down I feel like I'm plugged into electric vibrator. The doctor said that he believed it's caused from stress but I have other doctors saying that I have MS I don't know what to do about it anymore. It comes and goes throughout the day but it can literally put me down for the day. I sometimes go into Google and write out Tremors with Within

Two things I can recommend to try fix this

One is breathing -

Breathe in through your nose and fill your lungs with as much air as possible expand your ribs to accommodate the air keep your shoulders down then hold the air in for as long as is comfortably possible lastly breathe out slowly through your mouth with pursed lips

Then repeat - do it about 3-5 times

The other thing you can do is buy some vitamin b12 a strong dose take it alongside a multi B vitamin

Thank you. Does it sound like an after symptom of anxiety?

Yes definitely. Dont worry. You are going to be ok.

That can last days even though I’ve stopped worrying?

Also my face and head feels freezing to me but my children said it feels warm... is that normal with the tingling?? X

Yes. Research it online. When you panic or get tremendous anxiety theres a chemical reaction that occurs in the body. Adrenaline is released and that can affect so many different things in your body.

Idk but judging what other people say yes

I used to get body vibrations like a mobile phone when I started the menopause but when I did the deep breathing which I had learned when I did an AlexanderTechnique it just went

It’s bothering me an awful lot. Literally my whole head and face feels ice cold and tingly. Surely this can’t just be an after symptom of a panic attack/anxiety??

Has anyone had the pins and needles tingling in their head and face for more than a couple of days? Very confused by what’s going on... I suffer with severe health anxiety and something triggered a panic attack Weds morning. I’m also epileptic but very controlled and only has one seizure 10 years ago but now worrying it’s something related to that. Very unlikely and doc has said it’s more likely anxiety as there’s no reason I should have anything else but puzzled as to why the symptoms aren’t shifting ☹️

Yes all the answers are yes to your questions. Please educate yourself . Millions of people suffer from panic & anxiety. There is sooo much info out there about how it can affect sufferers. If u understand whats happening it'll help in relieving the fear.

Worried it’s going to trigger a seizure though but I’ve not had one in 10 years so unlikely but then I’ve also not had this constant numb sensation all over my head before and it’s not going...
