Tingling
Hi Marisol91, I have experienced the same symptoms. I've looked the symptoms up and all are indicative of anxiety. It's crazy how it can take over your body and make you have the weirdest symptoms. Try your best to remain calm. Do deep breathing. And focus your mind on something else. I like to watch Family Guy and Bobs Burgers so when I have an attack, I think about a funny episode from those shows.
Hope this helps.
Hi. I sometimes get tingling in my face on the left side, along with the feeling of numbness in the arm. It usually last for a few mins at a time then all goes back to normal
Hope you are okay
No its quite scary!! The 'body' us a strsnge thing!! Makes us feel quite paranoid at times!! Xx
So it's normal to have this feeling with aniexty or is there something wrong with me
Happens to me all over. It's horrible. Like ants biting you. I do have fibromyalgia aswell as anxiety. Annoying .
I can't 100% promise that there isn't anything else going on. But, my arms burn like crazy sometimes. I've had tons of tests done, and all came back ok. And I'm talking about tests from my respiratory functions, my heart, x-rays-CT scans-MRI's, nuclear imaging, stress tests..etc.
Everyone keeps telling me it's anxiety. Of course, like a true hypochondriac I guess, I have trouble believing them.
But, anxiety can make muscles burn.
Hi Mrworrymaster, how have you been doing lately?
Hey Agora.
Not doing so not. Shortness of breath came back with a vengeance.
I'm so tired of this crap it's just unreal. I once was a strong willed, confident man.
Now I'm a whimpering wuss who can't stop freaking out because my body is a mess.
Having someone tell you it's only anxiety is a cruel joke. Welcome to your own personal hell.
Hate feeling like this. Still don't. Believe it's all anxiety and expect to fall over dead someday. But, that's the nature of anxiety I suppose
Hi Mrworrymaster, I know it's scary. I don't like when the doctor's use the word "just" or "only" anxiety. Anybody who lives with anxiety on a daily basis knows it's life changing. The word "just" makes it sound so frivolous. Think back at what might have prompted the shortness of breath feeling. It could be anything from being upset or anxious about something to having used your chest wall muscles to do something strenuous that would tighten the diaphragm and make you feel like you are having trouble breathing.
When this happens with anxiety, it is more a matter of the tightness in the upper stomach. It has nothing to do with the heart or lungs. That's what you need to convince yourself. You will not fall over dead with this symptom. You need to try and calm down, relax and slow down your breathing. Sometimes even standing straight and pulling your shoulders back with open up the tightened muscles of your chest.
At times it can be hell but remember it is what we make of it.
You will be okay Mrworrymaster....Take it easy
