Update on my last post

So in my last post, if you read it, I talked about how my anxiety is as at its peak because of a possible forced participation crisis at a pep rally. I’ve been trying hard to think about what I could do to make sure I wasn’t put in this situation, and I finally found one. My friend, best friend in fact, is in student council and today I asked her how much control she had over who got picked for games. I was hesitant to ask because she sometimes gets judgmental about my inability to participate like that, but she was extremely willing today. She promised that if my name was brought up that she would strike it down and make sure I wasn’t in that position. She said if worse came to worse she could tell the group she’d ask, I’d say no and she would let them know my answer. At that point it’s on them if they choose to call my name and deal with my refusal to participate. Anyways I don’t if anyone cared but I’m very relieved by it so I just thought I’d mention it.

Thanks for the update. Great job on finding a solution to your problem.

Is this a situation that will go on all year?

Or is it a short term thing. I don't remember having too many pep rallies at school.

Well pep rally’s will go on until like February or March. But football is the favorite sport in my town so those pep rally’s are always bigger and “better”. So it will it better at least.
