I’m going crazy and I know why

See the attached pictures. The heart rate was taken at the same time. I had it done exercising and sat down and wanted to check my heart rate. I saw on my garmin watch that it was showing still in the upper 120s so i checked it on my wrist using my fingers for 90, so I have a app on my phone used that it showed 85 then looked at my watch again and saw it was 158 WHAT THE HECK 😳 i was sitting down, i know it was wrong but my anxiety went through the roof. What is wrong with me or better yet why I do trust a stupid watch over my own pulse on my wrist

Get rid of it

Do a manual pulse.

Do a manual check if in doubt. Sounds like the watch isn’t working properly. My app often does the wrong reading which annoys me because in the moment I’m normally checking it I don’t want to count myself 😩

I have a fit bit and the readings can take a while to change . I have the same app and my pulse is exactly the same as when I take my bp reading . I love my fit bit , but as I said give it a while to change . I do a lot of horse riding and it’s great as it shows how high my heart rate goes up . I was stressed at one stage but dr said it was ok and as long as it comes down . I had a reading of 167 .

I do notice it takes a while to come down but it was just crazy to me how off it was and me being crazy I believed the high heart rate and gave me such anxiety. I finally calmed down. I’m turning the heart rate off for a few weeks and just gonna use the app if i want to check my heart rate

Get a normal watch, not a smart watch, and check your pulse that way.. stop relying on apps
