Anyone else breathless not feel anxiety related at all? Always comes on when active or sometimes lying down? Drs did blood tests for anemia, listened to my heart and chest, blood pressure, oxygen levels, even a peak flow and it’s always perfect, saying I don’t need a x Ray or heart tests, dosent seem worried at all. Been like this for about 8 weeks now

Do you find that your breathing is shallow when you pay attention to it?

Shallow breathing is a classic for people who have anxiety and spend a lot of time on the computer. I find when i'm racing to do something (i.e. some sort of work on the computer) I start to breath really shallowly and start to hyperventilate. I don't know the answer on how to do things quickly or things that are stressful and stay calm (dosen't always happen but I have to conciously calm down when it does). I understand this is a common problem and something that both results from and causes anxiety. If you find answer to this one let me know 🙄 How is your posture?

My posture isn’t the best either tbf haha, soemtieks if I lean over it can be worse, in the cold, in the mornings, or with small activity, but i also get it if I’m irritated also

Bad posture compresses your diaphram causing you to breath too shallow causing you to hyperventiate. You are short of breath because you are litterally breathing using a tiny fraction of your lung capacity. It causes your mind to think you are short of breath and in trouble (hence anxiety). I've heard the only way to fix posture is to practice standing in good posture for a long as possible (hours) to train your brain to automatically stand in good posture. It is something i'm meaning to do but holy molly is that a tedious fix 😂.

Try doing deep breathing inhale slow from ur nose while pushing stomach out count to three and slowly exhale through the nose count to 4. And do it in sets of 6. If you can, do it once an hour for practice and anytime you feel that feeling. I hear ya, ur not alone. It’s an uncomfortable feeling.

Yes i have felt this too it seems to come on when i am really stressed and overwhelmed even though i know you think you are not stressed there is always something in the sub concious mind worrying us, this is only my situation. Find out if there is something uncnciously bothering you. Blessing and may you feel well soon.

I've also has this for about the same amount of time! It's on and off during the day, can also be at rest, I think air hunger is a good way to describe mine. I have low Hb and ferritin, told it could be that. Really worrying me as I didn't have this prior to 8 weeks ago... can I ask your age? I'm 42 and wondering if its the start of perimenopause.
