Hello!
I wanted to know how many people with anxiety still drink coffee regardless of having anxiety? Have you all change your dose or amp up?

Starbucks like a religion lol
I’ve had to almost stop, I will have half strength which seems to not make things too bad. I had to completely give up alcohol though
Ugh, I gave it up, in the spirit of "try everything I can," but I really don't know if it made any difference, and I really love coffee.
And my tolerance went away super quickly (couple weeks) so now if I forget and accidentally drink caffeinated tea at night, I have a hard time going to sleep, which is annoying.
Coffee makes no difference if I drink it or not , the same with Alcohol. I have proved it 😫
I no longer drink caffeine, I find it brings in my anxiety symptoms. So I find it best to steer clear of it. Plus, I don’t drink alcohol either, as that has the same effect 💐
Well people always have this misconception that coffee is bad for you if you have anxiety but to be honest I’m a coffee professional. I been a barista for 5 years and ever since I entered my journey with anxiety. I would not allow it to take my passion for coffee so I found out ways to coexist like lower the frequency, amount and eating meals before hand
drink coffee by the gallons daily.sometime I get a bit light headed/dizzy if I overdo it having not eaten but if I do its not to bad.
When my anxiety is kind of sever I stop drinking coffee. It pains me very much, but I discovered that coffee makes me even more jittery, I can be triggered very easily. When I can't take it anymore (I am a night owl, so getting up for work is always extremely difficult), I order decaf or something mild like latte.
And if I feel OK I may drink black coffee during the weekends...
I love coffee! It's my favourite food 😂 But it makes my anxiety much worse so i had to give it up. I still drink decaf, but not a lot. I have found I am very sensitive to caffeine, makes me jittery and get heart palpitations and makes my mind race. Not pleasant feelings when you're struggling with anxiety as well.
I've never noticed if drinking coffee caused my anxiety to spike or not. But I know I do better with some kind of stimulant. So as far as coffee goes it's better than alcohol or sugar or other things
Great question.
I love coffee. I had settled down to five cups a day after I stopped working the overnight shift.
Now after 4.5 years my md wants me to take it down more. I don't sleep at night, haven't for years. She thinks this is the cause. However I can drink coffee and fall asleep so I don't see the connection. I just can't stay asleep.
Anyway, at the advice of the md I have cut down to 4 cups a day. All before noon.
I miss that late afternoon cup. I'm going to try and take it down to 3 but that's as far as I go.
Coffee is ok but not alcohol
Can't quit iced coffees from Starbucks
I have one cup of americano in the morning with breakfast and thats it for the day. I like the taste of a good cup of joe and dont feel the need to eliminate it.
For a number of reasons I stopped drinking caffeine altogether, especially coffee. Terrible for aniexty. Drink camomile tea! Great for relaxing the nerve system.
I don’t think the Medical Community Really understanding Anxiety. Don’t do this , don’t do that ! I personally think it’s a Stressed Induced issue . I refuse to give into any of it . I drink Caffeine, 🍺🍺 and try to enjoy my Life as it is . For me , Anxiety stays big , as long as you dwell on it !
