Hi Amanda, and welcome! I've received a lot of great advice on this forum, but the best part of it is being able to share my experiences with so many others who are going through the same thing. I felt totally alone before because my family and friends have no clue what I'm going through, but since joining here I don't feel at all alone any more.

Thank you, for reply I totally understand where you are coming from. And can relate to what you say in ways.

Having trouble sleeping at night and that’s when I feel most alone. If that makes sense.

That makes total sense. I hate waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep.

Hi, nights are always the worst. I find that some source of distraction helps to stop the mind wandering and perpetuating the anxiety. For me getting as settled as possible on the sofa and watching TV helps a lot.

I hope that you find something that helps you.

I have other health problems now but when I was much younger and able to walk I found that it helped me a lot. On really bad days I used to set off just concentrating on putting one foot in front of the other until I felt to be back in the real world. Please keep up what you are doing as you seem to be trying hard to help yourself which counts for a lot.

If it's of interest when you are able to concentrate on reading, the book 'Self help for your nerves' by Claire Weekes is very good. I think that is available in an audio version too.

Wishing you well. Anxiety is very debilitating.
