Hello- my psych doc is hell bent on getting me off klonipin. I ordered a natural anxiety product last night, but now I see it has Kava, which is hard on the liver, so I’m goi g to return it as soon as it comes.
Do any of these natural things actually work? Many claim to. Any advice/ info is appreciated

I think there are many things you can do naturally to reduce anxiety . I have anxiety I use to get the attacks everyday for weeks and I would take hydroxyzine as needed for it but I wanted to get off so I started to take more vitamins and eat healthier and that has helped me so much . I know medication is needed for some people but if you can try please go the natural route . Those medications doctors prescribe do more harm than good sometimes . I’m glad you are searching for natural products . I don’t have a huge list of things I take but I do take magnesium it’s a powder you put in water and it helps calm my nerves and it’s natural so no side effects . It’s called natural vitality ! The powders are different flavors and taste good with cold glass of water or hot whatever you prefer
My regular doctor just wrote me a script for magnesium- I will fill it.
I know the benzodiazepines are hard to get off of ; I am very dependent on them and I’m scared to not have them
Yes, Kava Kava works, but it's something to be careful with using. It can also become addictive. St. John's Wort is another that shows promise. The problem with both is they're supplements and thus depending where you live, there's no way of knowing the purity and potency. They both have interactions with medications, so caution there.
I don't think naturally speaking you're going to see a drastic improvement via supplements as much as hopefully you can learn to cope and these supps will help make the coping easier....magnesium, fish oil, probiotics, and theanine are supposed to be great. I will say kudos to watching the benzos. Having been on one, they work too good but can lead down a bad path if you get stuck on them.
What strength? I order some off the internet and it was only 100 mg and it was peppermint flavored, which I hate, so it is useles to me. It was a trial for only $4 though
My integrative doc has me trying LTheanine, I take it at bedtime. Jury still out on its affect on anxiety. Ive heard others say it helps them.
