Does anybody swear by certain things other than medicstions for their anxiety? I'm on meds but if there's any certain foods or anything somewhat natural to help as well? Much appreciated!

Any natural anxiety soothers?
I have noticed magnesium and Vitamin D help me. I did get my Vit D tested and it was in the low, normal range. I also take melatonin at night to sleep which helps. I recommend a really good probiotic to help with any bacteria in the gut as bacteria in the tummy can cause or worsen anxiety. Also, I LOVE Bach Rescue spray (I get mine at our local co-op) as it really settles me down quickly. They have tablets that work too. A really good daily multi vitamin will help also. AND drinks loads of water and get lots of sleep. Walk and breath.
I have low vitamin D as well. Maybe I'll try a supplement. I just started probiotics. Thanks for sharing!
Vitamin b complex, and B 12 spray, multivitamins, organic of course. Amino acids and minerals, omega3
Green tea contains thianine that counteracts excessive cortisol production that can cause anxiety particularly first thing in the morning. But green tea extract tablets and thianine megadose tablets don't work for me only the tea brewed with hot water.
Over the counter product called Calm Spirit pills. I get them from Amazon now. Best product I have every taken. I hated taking any kind of pills. I didn't want to feel altered. I was afraid of taking any medicines. BUt a "healer" I went to in Chicago gave me these. It took me years before I got up the nerve to try them. Now that I have, I don't go anywhere without them. I have done the all natural, everything from diet, exercise, etc & even agreed to take Lex. I take 0.25. that is 1/4 of a 10mg. But all of the local doctors refuse to give out xanax now, so I HAD to find an alternative. BINGO
I'm not so sure Benadryl is natural but you don't need a prescription and it definitely helps me sleep.
I use lavender essential oil a lot... It helps me relax
Hi Have you tried other ways to deal with this except meds or vitamins ? such as CBT, distraction techniques, exercise, taking up a new hobby. I found all of these put together beat anxiety not just what I ate. You have to help to get your mind in order rather than your body
I find rescue remedy pastilles really good. also relaxation music and relaxation exercises help, if you google mood juice there are a lot of good ones to download. x
HI, I'm new to this forum but have suffered anxiety and panic attacks since my 20's . I did find an app that I find really calms me when needed called Calm you can download it free but to be able to access most all of the options there is a subscription fee and I find it helpful with meditations, calming music it even reads you a bedtime story. You may want to try it out.
