It’s 2.42am here in the u.k. , I went to bed with palpitations finally managed to sleep and woke up again with them! I’m really scared and panicking, has anyone else had palpitations for more than 4hours? It’s like a fluttering feeling in chest and feels like something is In my throat.
I’m scared il need to phone an ambulance 😔

Hi Lauren I’m also in the uk and awake 😢 try getting a drink, I’ve had that feeling of something being in my throat and it’s not nice, have the palpitations been constant or come and go?
They have been constant, I had a night like this the other night but didn’t wake me up, but tonight has woke me up and I have work soon! It’s like a constant fluttering my heart isn’t pounding hard.
I had an overactive thyroid just over a year i was given all clear but it’s maybe come back? I don’t know 😫
Hi Lauren85 I am sorrry ur experiencing this but I know exactly how u feel this has been going on for over a year and even tho it’s not everyday but almost and usually can last for 6 hrs for me or all day it’s horrible and freaks me out but I know u will be ok
But if u need another opinion go see ur doctor to run some test
Hi Lauren I know exactly how you feel it's 5.12am where I am and I hv been awake 4 over 3 hrs because of the fluttering . It's scary and terrible..Mine is because of anxiety and I'm on beta blockers for 2mths now , I think I need to visit my gp with regard to the meds. An overactive thyroid causes fluttering and racing heart you should see your gp. All the best.
