Beta blockers

Please can anyone tell me if they have ever had beta blockers? If so how did you find them? I've started taking 2.5mg. I'm concerned re side effects and I don't want to take them long term.

Yes I take propranolol everyday for heart palpitations.its great and no side effects at all for me.i take 10mg 2-3 times a day.hope that helps😃

I’ve been on and off propranolol for 10 years since I was 20.ive never had any side effects at all and they really work for my racing heart.

I’ve always been a size 10 and never put on weight with them.

Since I was 17 years old, I sometimes take Betaloc Zok (At least that's what it is called in Europe). At first I was taking 25 mg every second day (not constantly), now 50 mg every second day (or more to say when I don't forget it). It was prescribed for me because of a bit increased blood pressure. Haven't noticed any significant side effects.

I was on them for 6 weeks for a heart issue (SVT). I didn't gain any weight but they made me feel so tired.

It's been 2 years since I was on it so I honestly don't remember my dosage.

Hi, I was on 2.5mg of bisoprolol for around 3 years, but my anxiety became problematic again recently so GP has increased my dose to 5 mg, I have been on higher dose about 2 weeks now and feeling more positive.

I haven’t found that they caused me any weight gain, my appetite suffered when I was feeling poorly, but now that I feel btr I’m eatting btr too.

Yes,I take 40mg proprananol beta blocker for anxiety.

It has the advantages of lowering blood pressure and also regulates heart beat(I believe).

However it helped my panic and anxiety and phobias.It reduced the thumping heart,nausea,rapid breathing and many of the fear symptoms in the body.Only took 10 minutes to work.Very good.

I noticed a side effect(as I took very high doses)that a few hours later my eyes felt a bit 'gritty' and tired and I felt a bit tired or sleepy but these were very mild side effects and do not bother much.

My doctors and pharmacists said they were totally safe and I found they were.

I have never taken beta blockers daily,I just take when and as needed.

So I cannot say anything about taking them daily .
