5 Months Head Pressure

I've had head pressure everyday now for five months, although it has gotten kind of better, it's still there and worries me.

(See my other posts for descriptions of feelings I've went through)

Recently I went to a neurologist and she was 100% for the problem being caused by anxiety and stress (something that is hard for me to control).

My question is: has anyone else experienced this awful head pressure feeling? What makes it better?

Also. When whether changes. We can get head pressure.

Did you have cat scan?

Tension headaches/pressure possible? I was an enormous skeptic of it, but have you tried acupuncture? I leave there "melting" in how great I feel. To worsen my skepticism, my acupuncturist noticed one day I sounded congested. She put in a couple extra micro-needles around my nose....and I kid you not....clear as day in a matter of minutes. I'm fairly sure they're very helpful with stress, anxiety, headaches, and possibly this pressure. I can't tell you it'll help 100%, but it seems like it might be worth a shot if a neurologist has ruled out anything else.

I have had the head pressure but it was more acute than anything else. I can't imagine how you deal with it and have dealt with it for this long. Hope the suggestion helps and, most of all, the pressure decreases. Best of luck.

I have had this every day for the past 3.5 weeks! Along with numbness, hot/cold sensations and burning! It’s making me feel crazy. I’ve been seeing a chiropractor and that has helped some but it has not completely eliminated the problem.

Same to you! ❤️ It’s taking everything in me not to go to the ER 😢

Hi, I used to experience the same thing and was convinced it was neurological or an inner ear issue. Went to see a myotherapist on a recommendation and got immediate relief. Was being caused from tense muscles from my back, up through neck and head. I couldn't believe the great results. Highly recommend you see a myotherapist for treatment.

Continual worry will make it worse. As hard as it might be try to relax because you are probably tensing your head all the time causing the pressure I know it's not easy because I have the symptoms myself, I am trying meditation each night.

Sorry in advance, I know this is an old post. I am new to the site and these symtoms you have been talking about are ones that I was really suffering with.

I was getting awful, awful pain in my head. Like somebody was just squeezing and putting tremendous pressure on my head.

For me it all began when my Levothyroxine medication was put up. Obviously I am unaware if any of you have Thyroid conditions or take Levothyroxine. But once I spoke with my specialist and my Levothyroxine was reduce the pressure in my head was greatly reduced. The specialist, if you want to believe him or not, I'm still unsure, said that my body was not correctly converting the Levothyroxine and distributing it to my body, that everything that was suposed to be distributed evenly was staying up in my head.

Regardless of if this is just a load of rubbish or actually correct information the pressure in my head improved as soon as I was switched to a lower dose of Levothyroxine, suplemented with Liothyronine.

Again, it may be that none of you are on Levothyroxine, I am just starting trying to navigate the site and came across this post.

Not what you're looking for?
