Grandma and mum had caterax in there old age hope they didn’t pass it on to me I remember my
Mother saying hers was like fireworks I never really thought anything of it until a short time ago when this torch person came in my life lol ...... wouldn’t worry too much let us know if you find out what it is
Lol so I search optical migraines or flashy lights in this health forum and came to a different part and read that some one went to the Dr and it was due to something like suspectable aneurysm lol please help am shittin them
Think they would of picked it up on your eye tests ..... eye tests are meant to be very good to see what’s going on behind the eyes .... stop googling lol thats what we all bloody do on here ..... you’ll be ok makes us worse sometimes all best
Aneurysms are very unlikely and take a complex set of events to cause them. Migraines can ce caused by stress, lack of sleep, anxiety, dehydration, lack of food and/or heat exhaustion amongst other things. Try covering the basics and if that doesn't work then speaking to a chemist or pharmacist if you can't speak to your doctor. I learnt the hard way that Dr. Google isn't nearly as qualified he seems and his bedside manner leaves much to be desired xx
It normally happens to me with migraine. Try to keep yourself well hydrated. Maybe speak to a doctor, it sounds very similar to silent migraines xx
Aww thanks guys since getting the migraines my mind is on constant over time in case I get them again .. it's mad how your anxiety can make you feel ... thanks so much for helping guys .. Am stressed out in life at the minute so probably that to lol xx
I can relate! Mostly at night, but you have nothing to worry about. I no longer see them. I’ve heard dry eyes could be one of the reasons. I use eye drops because my eyes become dry sometimes.
too much computer, looking at phones with blue lights. Rest your eyes and put some moisture eye drops, like refresh or Gen Teal Tears in them. Worrying only makes them worse. R>E>L>A>X
I had that and it was something called Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD) which is the jelly like substance turning watery.
It is very common, you see flashes of sparking light in your peripheral view, at the side of your eyes, much more noticeable in the dark.
It can be dangerous if the retina detaches....but that is rate.
Go get checked out. If you live in the UK it is free at any opticians as it is covered by the NHS.
Don't want to alarm you, but it's worth an appointment.
I've had it for 2 years now and the flashes are calming down. You can get floaters with it too, but your brain quickly adjusts to them.
