Has anyone else had these symptoms?

I'm not sure if it's anxiety related or something else but I would appreciate any advice either way.

A couple of days ago my neck, shoulders and upper back started hurting and aching terribly. I put it down to muscle and although it has eased a bit now it still hurts and burns on and off. It also spreads down my arms and collarbone and makes them ache and feel like they are almost cramping up and spreads up through my jaw and head where I get electric shock sensations. All to the point where it makes me feel sick.

I know no one can diagnose me on here but I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this or can help? If it persists I'll see a doctor but it does play up my anxiety... thank you!

I understand how you feel and am experiencing the same thing. I, like many, tend to hold my stress/tension in my head, neck, shoulders and upper back. They sometimes hurt so bad they burn. Because the nerves that feed your arms and hands run through the back, that causes pain, numbness and tingling which I hate. My head tingles off and on too. As my anxiety is totally amped up right now, I've been feeling intensely. Hang in there.

Hi. The girl who sits next to me at work has the same symptoms and has seen a doctor. She was diagnosed with fibromialgia and is now taking gabapentin. She said she had been struggling with this for a year before she was diagnosed. I suggest seeing a doctor. All the best to you.

Hi sandizuck, I've had Fibro for many years and those symptoms may start with

anxiety but also include Fibromyalgia as well. Seeing a Rheumatologist can give

you some answers and a diagnosis. :) x

WOW! I am blown away right now. As you probably read in my reply, I've been experiencing the same symptoms. I've been through ALOT this year and wrote it off to anxiety as did my doctor. Fibro never crossed my mind until I read your reply. I looked up the symptoms and I could have written them. I need to look into this. Waking up stiff, sore, wide spread muscle pain, so much of it fits like a glove. Thank you!
