Advice please

Hi been on sertraline 25mg almost 3 weeks still feeling anxious and really unwell. My biggest issues which has affected me this year is vision and eye issues which frightens me. I still find it hard to believe this is anxiety so just in a cycle of worry! When will it end!?

That’s a very low dose, so maybe having a talk with your doctor as I started on 50mg then upped to 100mg and does me great! Also I had cbt therapy which helped lots so maybe ask about that also, anxiety can do all sorts of crazy’s things, I’m now back to 95% self so it will end just need to find what right treatment works for you

Thanks for your reply I have to speak to her tomorrow imagine she will up it, I’ve had it before but gave up before it had a chance to help me and I’ve done CBT over the winter this year, my sister has also had cancer so it helped me through the tough time but now everything has settled my anxiety has ramped up again!! It’s exhausting

Yeah definitely speak to your doctor and oh no sorry to hear that, maybe do the techniques you learned in cbt as you are meant to do them daily, hope it settles for you soon

Anxiety is such a terrible thing that impacts all areas of our life. I would encourage you to talk with your doctor about your medications as the dosage may not be right yet. Are you seeing a counselor as well? Medication can be a good thing but also being able to talk about your fears and develop techniques and new perspectives can also make a big difference. Praying you find peace and freedom from this anxiety!
