Hey guys, I’ve been feeling really weird today. I know I’m not suppose to feel my heart all the time. And I’ve come to accept that I just feel very weak? Kinda like I’m gonna just collapse and black out. I try to get my mind busy but my body just feels like a noodle I feel tingly almost all over. It can be my anxiety but I’m not sure.
Feeling weird?: Hey guys, I’ve been feeling... - Anxiety Support
Feeling weird?
As you’re going about your day to day life, you are right, most people shouldn’t be able to feel their heart beating all the time. However, if you are focussing on it, then of course you will. A bit like being in a room with a ticking clock, you can stop noticing the sound but if you focus on it, you can’t stop hearing it.
Are you eating properly and staying hydrated? When we are feeling anxious, it is easy to neglect our bodies, sometimes without realising. Making sure you are eating regular meals and drinking plenty of water could help with the feelings of passing out and weakness.
I have certainly experienced tingling feelings during bouts of high anxiety, I am not medically trained so can’t say for certain, but from my personal experience that could definitely be a cause for how you are feeling.
Have you seen anybody for help with the anxiety you are experiencing?
I’ve just started eating probably again, I lost a lot of weight due to my anxiety/panic attacks and I wouldn’t eat right id miss meals or sometimes I wouldn’t eat at all. I always drink water though. And yes I have I have my next check up next month
Glad you’ve started eating properly again, that sounds like a big step for you, so great to hear it!
Keep at it - not eating properly/enough can leave us low on energy but not having the right vitamins etc that we need can also have physical effects on our bodies. Hopefully, continuing to eat properly might start to make you feel a bit better.
Mention all this at your check up next month, but if the feelings get worse in the meantime, see if you can make an earlier appointment. I do think this is probably all in some way anxiety related but hopefully your doctor will be able to find a way to stop you feeling like this.
What meds are you on, if any? I experience this with Venlafaxine and eventually had dose reduced and given a beta blocker (Propranalol) to use as required.
The mind plays tricks on you, if you focus on these problems your feeding your anxiety
I often feel the same way. It's anxiety and it will pass.
