Awful for you Meegoon. I know that feeling. Many of us do. You will not die. It only feels like it. Get rid of the label and think of anxiety instead, plus more anxiety, stress and then panic. That is how panic arrives. Once you have one your mind will always be on the lookout to keep you safe from another panic attack so we are then afraid of the panic, not the original problem that may have caused it and that for some happens when they wake up and the world doesn't feel right. In the UK our NHS give quite a lot of information about panic, stress, anxiety. It gets complicated when we add labels. Stress will do everything and anything you have never dreamed of or knew might happen, but oddly it is all in our minds! Doesn't make it any the easier to know that. You may feel as if you can't see, everything is blurry, you feel faint, hands tingle, sounds are very noise. All of those are reactions to stress. So what we should be doing is to convince ourselves that our mind is fooling us and take no notice. That sounds a good idea. Easy, absolutely not. But if you look online to things on Utube about anxiety you will begin to find a lot more information to support you. Amongst the many who are useful is DARE and a woman called CLaire Weekes. The latter cured millions on TV in the 1950's her books are available, they are simple and most good books pretty much follow what she was doing. CBT didn't exist then but really that is what they were doing and many psychiatrists wrote about how to deal with what was no more than anxieties, traumas, stress and phobias but all dealt with the same way. CBT as sold now is nothing more than filling in paperwork and dealing with people who have rarely heard of the former so don't go in that direction. Download some mediations to your phone about anxiety, the ones that appeal to you and keep listening. Due some exercise, at home if not in a gym that levels out the adrenalin which is actually what is making you feeling like that all the time. Short walk, scribble a bit, draw a bit, short duration. At some point you will suddenly think 'I felt okay for 30 seconds' and you will have the key that will give you your own recovery. Adrelaine arrives because we call for it, via other cursers and don't forget they will still pulse even if you manage to cool yourself. Read Claire Weekes. If nothing she will make you feel supported.
