What the heck just happened?!?!

I was sitting in my room playing on my computer when i saw a bug run across the wall out of the corner of my eye. But when i looked at it (quite suddenly) it was gone...i think i just hallucinated???

I am so terrified of becoming schizophrenic. I have no one is the family who is schizophrenic, we just all have crazy anxiety.

I have had weird hallucinations like this before tho. Like seeing a cat out of the corner of my eye or looking up and thinking i see a cat when there is no cat there (we have 6 cats so i thought it was one of mine) . Its really scary when it happens cause automatically i assume “this is it. I am going insane” and now im suddenly hallucinating bugs on my wall?!?! Its like as soon as i look at it, its gone...i talked to my boyfriend about it (we dont live together) and he said it was normal for that to happen....im really scared that im slowly going crazy and going to go into psychosis or something...

Hey, don't worry remember that anxiety loves to take you to the worst possible outcomes straightaway. You're okay, I think I see my cats all the time in my peripheral vision, sometimes it's them, sometimes it's just something vaguely cat shaped that my brain thought might be a cat. Your brain is on the lookout for things like bugs too, but any little trick of the light or a bit of dust might be interpreted as a potential bug, it's just our animal brains trying to look out for us. Looking for things we like and wary of things that could be a threat, or just annoying. It's perfectly natural so don't worry, you just focus on you, take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon. 👍👍👌👍

are you taking ANY medicine....many meds have a side effect of hallucinations...I used to see spiders on the wall that were not there when I took Benadryl.....or Niquil....found out it is VERY common with Benadryl products....so if you are taking Anything ..it may be from that...if you are not then you need to see the doctor
