Hi, do you feel guilty the day after drinking alcohol? Does the guilt triggers anxiety and negative thinking? When I have a drink (only low alcohol beer and not too many) the next day I feel guilty, in the morning my heart races up to 115 bpm on and off (I check it with the FitBit) and I begin with the negative thinking about having to call an ambulance, dying of a heart attack, worrying about the pulse going higher, I get scared I try to talk to myself that I will be ok, that it will pass but the negative always out weights the positive thinking. Any tips? I don't drink often and not a lots, but now and again I fancy a couple.

I get very anxious after drinking .Had a few drinks last night and my heart races just the same over 100 bpm think I overdid it a little and also got alot of skipped beats . I have the same thoughts as you about my heart after drinking and I feel bad today now but just trying to reassure myself that it's just the anxiety and trying deep breathing.
Yes, I am trying to reassure myself as well, and distract myself doing things, I woke up very hot after 4 hours sleep and that was when the panic started, my heartbeat kept going higher so was my anxiety then kept checking the FitBit I couldn't got back to sleep, kept thinking about weather to call an ambulance, weather my heart was going to pack up, about people dying young from heart problems, I couldn't control my negative thoughts neither my anxiety, a bit of a nightmare
