So sad

I’m feeling sad today. Yesterday I was dealing with panic for so long. My blood pressure was through the roof high and heart rate was ridiculous. I completely understand people wanting to give up sometimes when dealing with this thing. I am not threatening to hurt myself or anything like that. I am just feeling so damn depressed about the whole situation. I love my family very much and my daughter tries to help me all she can to calm me down. She’s a nurse. I have had more ambulance rides than the local EMT’s. And what’s really crazy is I have already almost died more than once Once when I was young and no one could diagnose appendicitis and kept sending me home and it ruptured and so on and so on. Once when I flipped a car I broke my neck. Yet this thing I am dealing with now feels worse than all of that put together. Okay I guess I’ll quit complaining now and start thinking of things I am so grateful for ........

How high was your heart rate I usually use an app when I feel in a panic and sometimes I notice my heart rate is fine.

Hi, Glendajean. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? If you are menopausal age, there is a real chance that your symptoms are menopausal and you're not going crazy! I experience the same, and if you pop over to a website called menopausematters, you'll find many women there who share the symptoms you are having. xxxx

I’m 57 so yes I am menopausal !! Thank you so much. I will have to check that out!! I was wondering if that had something to do with it.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING you are describing is typical for menopause! You are not doing this to yourself, nor are you going crazy! I promise you -so many women (including me) have the same experiences. Mine started after I had my ovaries removed when I was 46 and never experienced this before! It won't make it go away, but you don't need to be afraid and it won't go on forever - promise! If you want to message me anytime if you want to chat/vent/share experiences, then feel free. I can point you to so many discussions all over the internet from women who describe exactly the same as what you're going through (including the visits to ER). Much love! xxxx

You are so, so welcome Glendajean! Anytime! I"m so glad it makes you feel less alone, and to know that what you're experiencing is normal on this crazy menopause ride. xxxx
