Getting Carded

This is random but I can’t believe people still ask for my ID at 38. I don’t think I look that young. I’m just short. Will it ever end?!? I only bought ciders for goodness sakes. No one is getting super drunk on ciders.

Actually you are lucky. It means you look younger than you are. When they stop asking, you will feel bad because they think you look more your age. The older people get the more they want to look younger, hence all the use of Botox, etc.

It’s a little embarrassing sometimes but you are right. If it stops I’ll probably have a fit about that too. Anxious always. 😫😂

Must we worry about looking young :) im 24 and look 15 and I love it card me idc i know im of age yeah maybe its gonna take an extra second or more but still im lookn half my age! What USED to suck was women thought I was in middle school lmao! So thats the only issue I ever faced but now I am engaged so I could care less about that factor 👌🏽🤷🏼‍♂️

Pros and cons to everything my friend!

Lol! I know I should be happy but it’s so frustrating sometimes. I get carded for cigs too! I’m 20 years over the smoking age. Jeez! 😂❤️

What are you doing smoking, anyway? Besides, you are not short; like me, you are just vertically challenged. (The smoking didn't help that situation.) :)

yet another reason i envy short people. i'm 5'7" and always hated being tall, i mean to the point it often makes me cry. But yes , usually just the fact that someone is short makes them look younger, but really this is a positive as everyone here agrees. I'm 45 and the last time i was asked for ID was 4 years ago so i was 41, and it must have been a good skin day or something bc it happened twice in one day by 2 totally different people. But that was the last time, and don't you think you'd feel worse the day it stops happening? Shortly after that i let a jerk put me thru hell, in a dysfunctional "relationship"(it was so unhealthy u can't even call it that), and i don't think it's coincidence that i never got ID'd after him. The stress/trauma from him probably aged me a lot. Anyway, some stores even have signs stating that they will card anyone who looks younger than 40 and it's just protocol. LAtely i've been depressed that everywhere i go i get called "Ma'am" now. For me, aging is a very depressing process...so be grateful
