Now that I have a better grip on panic and anxiety I will share a technique that works for me and hopefully helps others. When my heart rate speeds up, out of the blue and I feel the thumping all over and especially in my spine I smile and say "hello heart...thanks for working and letting me know you're there." Sounds weird but it works for me and prevents severe panic attacks. It may take some time to calm it down but I don't totally freak out and lose my s*%t...haha! Hope it works for you!

Congratulations Titan4757 in finding the key to reducing anxiety. Acceptance will do it every time. Anxiety doesn't like when we take back control. Thanks for sharing and continued success.
Thanks Agora! I struggled with heart health worries and still do some. The best thing I ever did was say to myself, "If it's time for me to pass away then so be it." I don't actually believe I'll pass away and my cardiologist said my heart is just great but I still get increased heart rate sometimes. Hope you're doing well!
First step is acknowledge the fact that you are having an anxiety or panic attack. For me the second step is rationalizing why the fact I’m freaking out makes no sense, the third is just breathing in slowly not fast and just waiting it out.
