Panic attack help
It sure sounds like one sorry you had to go through that...😔
I’ve had them too.. they suck
I don’t normally have panic attacks it’s really scary feels like I’m goin to die , now I I’m sooo tired and out of it , is that Normal after having a panic attack ???
dear Roxx14 , yes while you are anxious and scared about something (which is a panic attack ) your body will obviously prepare for a life or death situation . you feel like dying because the only thing your body cared about was life or death , as you were scared . it is something all of us have called fight or flight response , the aftermath you experience is particularly because you percieve your symptoms as a threat , thus body produces more adrenaline (anxiety hormone ) and a viscous cycle begins . once you break the cycle it all resolves . you are in a state where anything or a slight sensation will be believed as a threat because there is no threat in reality , your body finds one anyways which is the symptoms , which are not a threat actually . once you understand how it works , it all goes . im coming from a place where i was worrying about panic attacks and having symptoms 24/7 . understanding the mechanism is the key . long post but wanted to go in detail .
hope this helps!
no it is much better now , the thing is , i have done this without medication .
i used to worry all day long , i absolutely thought i was stuck in this anxiety FOREVER , i mean literally forever . but you have to acknowledge that our brains are quite smart to decieve us , yes thats true . you must be overthinking about anxiety? right?
the best thing worked for me , and still does is mindfulness , where you focus on the external environment instead of internal environment , the key of mindfulness is not being judgemental about your thoughts , no matter what they may be , you will get distracted alot but gently bring your focus back everytime .
LOL i typed alot , anyway , i have a pretty isolated life with few family members and self esteem issues also that also played their role
I think of my anxiaty symptoms everyday all day long my main symptoms is overthinking , worrying , self esteem , lightheaded and always tired I go to bed at like 8 till next morning 😟 I also don’t take medications
for the sleep part , yes mindfulness also works
Not sure if this will help you....but I use to have panic and anxiety 24/7. I would go to ER seemed like once a month. I've had the exact same symptoms and feelings like what you listed above. I tried everything from drugs to diet to vitamins. I can honestly reflect and see what was causing my stress and anxiety. It was my x. I think it was the fact that he was consuming my life. I was always worried about the BS he was doing. Once we broke up for good my anxiety slowly and surely went away. I still have a lot of stress with being a single mother of 2 but I never have panic attacks. I try not to think negative about my health. I feel like if I'm going to die then i'll probably never know so why sit and stress about any little symptom.
Nope and I really don't know how it went away other than getting my mind in control and my EX out my life. I use to drive down the road and randomly get it. My mind was always thinking crazy stuff was going to happen to me. That's why I'm even on this site..I was desperate for any kind of help and answers.
Do you have anything negative weighing you down?
I don’t think I do , I guess I just stress about life alone my anxiaty came out of no were seriously overnight and I never felt the same again sounds weird but true
Last year I started having panic attacks along w general anxiety. It scared me to the core and almost became a cycle. Wanting to avoid meds at all costs so I made some changes that gave me the best chance to recover naturally. I avoided sugar and caffeine as much as possible. I made better food choices too. I excercicised regularly. FYI it doesn't need to be extreme. Bikeing or brisk walking will do. Get the blood and oxygen to the brain and detox. I also began to practice mindfullness meditation and acceptance. I journaled and inventoried my inward issues of fear, anger, shame, secrets etc and faced my fears. Finally I made gratitude lists, helped others and focused on the positive. It worked for me and I avoided meds and doctor billis. As a bonus, I lost weight and got healthier. . Just a suggestion. Good luck ✌️
Wow that’s Amazing , I also have general anxiaty it’s all day everyday feeling of dizzy , ,nervous , worried , overthinking , i don’t take eny meds and I never whent to eny doctor for my anxiaty either I’m kinda embarrassed I also gained 10 pounds since I stared my anxiaty / depression a year ago , the anxiaty and symptoms came out of no were one min I was okay laughing with my friend the next min I got this huge rush of dizzy sweating shaking stomach cramps tired and it never left since then I’m not the same I need to get better I wanna feel better
The panic attacks are caused by a spike in the general anxiety so the treatment I used works on the anxiety first and results as a treatment for the panic attacks. It kills 2 birds with one stone.
Start with quitting or reducing caffeine and sugar. That's fuel for anxiety. Start excercising even if it's a little. Walk, bike or climb the stairs. Simple is ok. No need for a gym. Google or search YouTube for meditations or self hypnosis on anxiety. Listen to them and bookmark your favorites.
You have to take some action and be patient. Don't quit and results will show up.
