Panic Disorder

I just found out that I have severe panic disorder (multiple panic attacks daily). I was wondering if anybody else has it and what they do about it. If you have any stories about your symptoms or advice I would really appreciate you sharing it with me.

yeah jaimie, I had so many before, First think why you are feeling tensed and why it is happening, if that is an ignoble thing then just kick it from your mind.. Feel your self free. Fell like you have nothing go out and feel some other atmosphere which can take your mind away from this and always say you are the strong person.. This is not a big issue also.. Now a days So many are facing same problem but we can do best.. Remember you can do anything.

-----

- What i did is i have took a deep breath and released from my mouth slowly. Think is a kind of yoga.

- Drinking water. And Playing some in door games

- And still facing the same problem?? Went to outside using a Bus or a Taxi(Cab), and just enjoyed nature.

- Best thing is i always used to say one thing to myself that i'm strong i can do anything. Because i have nothing, got everything normal doctor said. Then what i need.

Remember you are the only person who can help to you. Control your mind. Control everything. Be Happy :-)

Hi Jamie370. Yeap, that was my diagnosis, panic disorder in 2016. I will get panic attacks regardless of triggers or non-triggers. Awake, asleep, wherever and whenever. World got smaller and restricted. I either refused to go out or struggled so badly if I really have to but I have no choice as I have 2 young boys. I can't go or be anywhere alone. Even at home. Well, the symptoms are so far n wide but you know, the basis is the same: I am dying, I have a severe illness, I will drop dead any sec. Suffered horribly the first year, I went for therapy and did CBT. Didn't take meds (too anxious). I borrowed books frm the library and searched online to understand more. I am not entirely panic free now but am definitely in a better place than I was back in 2016. I have had good days and have been on a roller coaster otherwise. I also searched for quotes online and saved them in a folder in my hp labelled as Faith. When it gets really tough, I refer back to it and read through to remind myself that I was once at rock bottom, so even on my lowest of lowest day, I know it can't get any worse than where I have been. I pray that you will be feel better soon and always know that you are not alone and this too shall pass, like it always does.

Thank you so much. I’m glad you have found ways to improve. I’ve been printing out quotes and bible verses and putting them around my room and on my notebooks to remind myself that I will be okay. I just need to remember the overwhelming feeling like I am dying is caused by my anxiety and I will be fine. I have had panic attacks for 10 years already but I just got diagnosed after being rushed to the ER from school. Just like with you there are bad and good weeks and I also don’t take medication for it. Sometimes I take some calming herbal tablets if I’m having a really bad week but so far I have never taken anxiety medicine. Thank you so much for reminding me I’m not the only one. It’s so scary when you have panic disorder and you just want someone to support or help you but nobody knows what’s going on.
